Stonehouse Homes Beat the Stamp Duty Deadline!

Stonehouse Homes, the independent family-run estate and lettings agent based in Walton-le-Dale, near Preston, is delighted at the Chancellor’s recent budget announcement in which the Stamp Duty ‘holiday’ will now last until the end of June 2021.
Mark Rushe, owner of the business, said: “This announcement is very welcome and should ease the lack of housing supply in Preston, South Ribble and Ribble Valley areas. The extension will kickstart the low to midrange housing market, as homeowners will find it easier to obtain mortgages and upsize, especially with the return of 95% mortgages. When the Stamp Duty holiday finishes, the threshold will reduce to £250,000 until the end of September, which is double the normal threshold before the initial Stamp Duty holiday was announced.”
