Ribchester Art Club 2018

The Art Club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month in Saint Peter and Saint Paul’s Parish Centre, Stydd Lane, Ribchester PR3 3YQ.
(Not any 5th Wednesday) The Club has been established for nearly 25 years.
We have a varied and interesting programme.

Some meetings are given over to “practical” sessions where members bring along a piece of work that they are currently engaged on. On these occasions you would be likely to see oils, acrylics, watercolours, watercolour pencils, pastels, pen and ink and sometimes craft work and embroidery. It helps to see what and how others do things, listen and make suggestions and comments.

Some meetings are more formal and given over to visiting artists who come to demonstrate a particular technique or run a workshop. We sometimes plan portrait or figure drawing sessions, set up a still life or share ideas. These afternoons are always interesting and give us a chance to see and try things we would not normally do.

Please support our Annual Art Exhibition at Saint Peter and Saint Paul’s Parish Centre, as above, on Sunday 26th and Monday 27th August from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. where you will see our artwork. You can purchase items from the craft stall and also relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some cake in our café.

Entry to the Exhibition and Parking is free but we hope you will buy some raffle tickets for our Grand Raffle. (This will help us to cover our Exhibition costs.) If you are interested in coming along to see what Ribchester Art Club is all about then come along to our 2018 meetings at 1.30 to 3.30 p.m.

If you would like to chat with someone from the club contact E. Farnworth, Mobile 07779410369. We also have members from around the local area that join with us in our activities and running the club. All newcomers are very welcome.
